Ooni Of Ife Praises Nigerian Youths, Reveals His Daughter Was Almost Killed By SARS Officials



Ooni of Ile Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi has applauded Nigerian youths for coming out en masse to protest and demand an end to police brutality in the country.

The 51st Ooni took to his Twitter page earlier today to praise the youths for coming together and demanding a change with one voice.

He also related the story of how his 25 years old daughter was almost killed by members of the now disbanded unit, SARS while she was on her way to the airport.

He also assured Nigerians that the arrested protesters in the city of Ile Ife will be released as he’s on the matter already, see his tweets below;

The Ooni then ended the message with a footnote which read, “This movements demands better on your behalf, and is aimed at pushing the government to do better for you and elevate your standard of living. Do not persecute your advocates.
