Loneliness eating me so deep
Friends straying from me, so real
Tears strolling down my face, so hot
Fears gripping my heart, so firm
Is this the life I chose?
Only if I knew life wouldn’t be this fair, I wouldn’t have made the first cry.
At least, that would have saved me from the constant cries.
Where are the seemingly ‘real’ folks
Most flew like a pack of cards
Leaving me to phantom the surreal that comes with the gas
I thought they were better
Not until they became strangers
Inadvertently turning me to face this dagger; depression.
This is me finding solace in sleep
This is sleep running away from me as insomnia eats me deep
But will I wait till I become a bait to the ravaging depression gate?
Will I wait till I become a shadow of my beautiful face?
This is me treading the DANGER ZONE I’ve always dread; DEPRESSION!
